Not off to a good start. Purchased a vehicle through them in July '15. They asked for a declarations page for my proof of insurance. I thought that was weird since with all the vehicles I've bought over the years I've only needed an insurance card but I provided it anyway. Left the dealership with the new vehicle thinking all is well. About a month later I receive a letter with the Neighbors letterhead telling me that a "collateral protection insurance policy" was purchased on my behalf and the cost added to my loan. I immediately follow the instructions in the letter and send another copy of my insurance to these people under the impression my money would be refunded. It's now Dec. '15 and I have continued to be charged monthly for this "insurance" in spite of 1) providing proof of insurance since the purchase date 2) providing proof every month since then, even having several representatives call my insurer directly to get whatever paperwork they wanted. I've finally talked to someone in the titling dept. at the credit union who assured me that my money would be refunded but had an attitude with me as if I had done something wrong. That's the biggest slap in the face since I did everything they asked for from day one and now I'm treated as if this is all my fault. I'VE HAD INSURANCE SINCE DAY 1 and provided proof to the dealership and credit union. If I didn't the dealership wouldn't even allow me to take the vehicle home. I don't even know how it's legal to add charges to an auto loan after the date of purchase without my knowledge or approval. Saved a little on the interest but certainly not enough to deal with this headache of reversing what I consider fraudulent charges to my loan. Be aware of these type of policies when dealing with this institution.
